Aesthetic Provider Verification Methodology in Malaysia

Trust Passport methodology

Verification is a dated match between one factual field and one retained or linked source. It is not a quality score, medical recommendation or paid badge.

Verification starts with the exact person, premises, product, device or claim.
01 · IdentifyMatch the exact entity

Use the full practitioner, premises, product, device or advertisement identity.

02 · CheckUse the correct official route

Different facts require separate MOH, MMC, CKAPS, NPRA, MDA or MAB checks.

03 · DateRecord scope and expiry

A verification state applies only to the checked field, source and date.

What does verified mean?

A verified field means that the published value matched an approved source on the recorded verification date. It does not mean that AestheticClinic.my guarantees current status, treatment outcome, practitioner skill or suitability for an individual reader. Every public state identifies what was checked and when.

Provider-submitted information enters a pending state until independently checked. A clinic cannot buy verification, a better factual state or a higher organic position. Sponsorship and profile-claim status are stored separately.

Why are doctor checks separated?

Doctor identity, registration context, APC context where publicly supportable, LCP chapter or procedure scope, practice location and page-review relationship are different facts. A matching name is not enough, and evidence for one scope should not be copied to another procedure.

The verification record stores the exact official route, checked name or reference, check date, scope, limitations and next review state. A provider doctor profile and a medical-reviewer profile remain separate entities.

How are clinic premises checked?

Clinic verification is branch-specific because the legal facility identity, address, registration evidence, practitioners, hours and service claims may differ. Evidence for one branch is not copied across an entire brand without a matching source.

An official premises match does not independently prove every doctor, product, device, treatment availability or advertisement claim. Each of those claims receives its own source and date.

How are products, devices and advertisements checked?

Medicinal products are checked through the applicable NPRA route and medical devices through the Medical Device Authority register using the exact product, model, registration or establishment information available. A marketing family name is not treated as an exact registration result.

Advertisement references are matched to the approved media, wording, language, domain and validity context where available. A reference is not reused beyond its supported scope, and editorial content is kept structurally separate from promotional material.

What states can a record show?

Public states use factual language such as verified current, renewal check due, submitted by provider and pending independent check, public source unavailable, information expired or correction under review. They do not use star ratings or imply a regulator endorsement.

When a source is unavailable or ambiguous, the field is marked unavailable or pending rather than inferred. Material corrections preserve the prior statement, source and change date in the audit record.

How are rechecks and corrections controlled?

Each field stores a verification date and an appropriate next-review state. Fast-changing registrations, approvals or practice relationships are checked more often than stable identity information. Reported changes enter a correction queue and do not instantly replace the retained public record without evidence.

A correction identifies the exact field, previous source, replacement source, reviewer and change date. When evidence conflicts, the public state may remain pending or correction under review until the discrepancy is resolved. Providers and commercial partners cannot shorten this process by payment.

Verification objects and primary official routes

Verification objects and primary official routes
Object Primary route What the check does not prove
Aesthetic practitioner scope MOH aesthetic-practice and LCP routes Suitability or outcome quality
Doctor identity/APC context Malaysian Medical Council search Every aesthetic procedure scope
Clinic premises MOH/CKAPS source Every practitioner or treatment claim
Medicinal product or device NPRA or MDA exact-item search Suitability for a particular person

Official verification routes used by this methodology

Source availability and wording can change. Each public verification record therefore retains its own check date and scope.

Frequently asked questions

Is verification a clinic recommendation?

No. It reports source-supported factual states and does not rank clinical quality or individual suitability.

Can providers update their profiles?

They may submit evidence, but submitted information remains pending until an independent check is completed.

Why can a status expire?

Registrations, APC context, approvals, source availability and practice relationships can change. The public state therefore includes a verification date and review status.

What happens when a source cannot be found?

The field is marked unavailable or pending. It is not inferred from a clinic website, social profile or similar name.
