Original Malaysian research
This library separates evergreen guidance from permanent research releases. Every release declares its question, sample, cut-off date, methods, limitations, conflicts and correction history.

A research release begins with one answerable Malaysian question and a declared population or dataset.
Sampling, exclusions, unit decisions, missing data and limitations are visible before findings.
Annual reports remain permanent; corrections are appended and new years receive new URLs.

These editorial images illustrate research, documentation and verification. They are not treatment outcomes or provider endorsements.

What belongs in the research library?
The research library is reserved for original Malaysian datasets, versioned reports and substantial methodology-led publications. The first programme is the Malaysia Aesthetic Price Index. Later work may include an aggregate clinic-verification coverage report and a consumer decision survey only after its methodology, consent and privacy controls are approved.
Generic treatment explainers do not become research releases simply because they cite studies. Treatment pages remain the canonical owners of procedure evidence; concern pages own problem-solving intent; verification pages explain official checking routes.
How is a research question approved?
An assignment must define the reader, outcome, relevant period, dataset and reason the question matters in Malaysia. It must also declare the canonical owner and explain why an existing page cannot answer the intent. This prevents research titles from becoming duplicated SEO pages.
The proposed analysis is written before the final findings. Material changes to exclusions, groupings or statistical treatment are logged so the published story cannot quietly dictate the method.
How are sources and claims handled?
Malaysian official sources lead the hierarchy for regulatory facts. Systematic reviews, consensus statements and established peer-reviewed research lead clinical synthesis. Manufacturer material is used only for exact specifications. Clinic material may support a price observation or provider claim, but it is not independent evidence of clinical effectiveness.
Every material claim is entered in a claim-evidence ledger with its source, date, evidence class, limitations, accountable editor and required review state. Unsupported or conflicted claims remain excluded rather than being softened into vague certainty.
What does an annual release include?
An annual release includes an executive summary, dataset version, cut-off date, sampling frame, inclusion and exclusion rules, sample composition, analysis decisions, accessible charts and tables, findings, limitations, conflict disclosures and a correction route. A lawful machine-readable subset may be provided only after privacy and evidence controls pass.
Raw private price observations, provider submissions and protected evidence references remain private. Public tables use aggregates that cannot be misrepresented as individual clinic rankings.
How are corrections and updates handled?
A dated release is preserved historically. A material error receives an appended correction note that explains the original statement, the corrected statement, the reason and the correction date. The next annual report receives a new URL and does not overwrite the previous year.
Changing a date without substantive work is prohibited. Evergreen pages may link to the latest validated release while older releases continue to show the dataset and limitations that applied at publication.
What makes a release useful to other publishers?
Citation value comes from inspectable original data and a clear method, not from asking for links. Findings are written so another editor can identify the exact sample, period, unit, denominator and limitation behind a statement. Charts are paired with tables and concise attribution guidance so they can be interpreted without removing context.
Outreach is limited to relevant journalists, consumer publishers and professional stakeholders after the release passes its gates. The platform does not buy citations, manufacture regulator endorsement or distribute spun versions of the same report.
Research objects and their canonical role
| Object | Purpose | Update behaviour |
|---|---|---|
| Research programme landing page | Explain the question, methods and release series | Updated when the programme changes materially |
| Annual Price Index release | Preserve a dated dataset and findings | Permanent; corrections appended |
| Evergreen Prices page | Summarise current validated price intelligence | Corrected after verified material change |
| Treatment price module | Own treatment-specific current price intent | Updated when its comparable evidence changes |
| Verification report | Aggregate factual coverage and gaps | New version for each reporting period |
Frequently asked questions
Does AestheticClinic.my conduct clinical trials?
No. The current programme organises published evidence and conducts observational price or verification research. It must not imply clinical experimentation.
Can a clinic pay to change a finding?
No. Commercial relationships are separated from sampling, verification, analysis and editorial conclusions.
Why is the Price Index annual?
A yearly release allows a larger sample and avoids thin quarterly findings, while observations continue to be collected and quality-checked throughout the year.
Can other publishers reuse the charts?
A release will state its permitted reuse and attribution terms. Raw protected evidence is never included merely to make a chart reusable.
