Malaysia Aesthetic Price Index: Annual Research Programme

The research programme for an annual, evidence-traceable study of Malaysian aesthetic treatment prices, units, inclusions and geographic coverage.

AestheticClinic.my is not a clinic. We publish independent safety, verification and price information. This page is educational and does not replace an individual medical consultation.

Annual original-data programme

The Price Index is designed to publish one defensible Malaysian release each year. Collection continues throughout the year, but no national finding is published before the sample and review gates pass.

Malaysian editorial team reviewing the annual aesthetic price research programme
The annual programme separates sampling, analysis, review and publication.
01 · CollectBuild the annual sample

Capture dated private observations with treatment, unit, scope, clinic and market context.

02 · AuditFreeze and test the dataset

Resolve duplicates, missing fields, unlike units, outliers and traceability before analysis.

03 · ReleasePublish one permanent report

Use a yearly URL, accessible findings, limitations and a correction record.

What question will the Price Index answer?

The programme asks what comparable Malaysian price observations show for defined aesthetic treatments during a declared collection period. It also documents where the sample is too small, geographically narrow or operationally inconsistent to support a national range.

The research does not decide which clinic is best, predict treatment results or replace a personal quotation. It analyses price evidence after treatment identity, unit, scope, inclusions and source context are made comparable.

Why is the release annual?

One annual release provides more time to collect observations across clinics and markets, resolve inconsistent units and complete legal and compliance QA. It avoids producing small quarterly reports whose apparent precision exceeds their evidence.

Continuous collection still permits an evergreen treatment module to receive a dated correction when a material change is verified. The formal research series remains annual so every release has a clear dataset version and permanent historical role.

What will the sample contain?

Each private observation records the canonical treatment, clinic key, region, market, source class, exact URL or protected evidence reference, collection date, raw amount, currency, price basis, quote scope, inclusions, device or product context where verified, promotion state and QA decisions.

Only observations marked eligible, unit-normalised, duplicate-resolved, outlier-reviewed and traceable to retained evidence may contribute to a public aggregate. Raw records and private attachments are not published.

What will the annual report disclose?

The report will show the cut-off date, dataset version, sampling and source mix, observation count, independent clinic-group count, markets covered, price bases, inclusion rules, exclusions, findings, limitations, conflicts and correction route. Every displayed number is rendered from a controlled finding token recomputed from the frozen rows; unbound charts are not permitted.

A lawful downloadable JSON or CSV subset may be released only after privacy review, server-side hashing of its current Media Library bytes and an exact binding to the frozen dataset and findings manifest. Reproducibility must be recorded by a different accountable data verifier from the freezer.

What happens when data remain below the formal statistical threshold?

The report names the evidence gap and does not publish a pooled national statistic for that treatment. Source-attributed advertised figures may remain visible on the evergreen topic page because their original units and conditions are preserved.

If the overall dataset cannot support a defensible release, publication stops. The programme continues collecting evidence for the next annual cycle rather than forcing a report to meet a calendar promise.

How will findings be shared responsibly?

Every headline finding will carry the relevant year, sample basis and limitation. Embeddable charts will include a descriptive title, source line, accessible data table and link to the methodology. A research summary cannot be detached from its denominator or presented as an individual clinic ranking.

External outreach begins only after publication and targets organisations for which the data are genuinely relevant. Corrections remain available at the same permanent URL, and any later use should cite the annual release rather than an undated screenshot or evergreen summary.

Frequently asked questions

When will the first annual release be published?

Only after the dataset and review gates pass. The intended route is the year-based research URL, but the calendar does not override evidence sufficiency.

Will every treatment have a national range?

Not necessarily. Treatments with unlike units or coverage below the formal threshold retain their source-attributed listings without being presented as a national range.

Can clinics submit price evidence?

A controlled submitted-evidence route may be used, but submission does not make the observation eligible and cannot purchase a favourable finding.

Will historical reports be updated?

They remain permanent. Material errors receive appended corrections; the next year receives a new report.

Before you decide

Can each important claim be checked independently?

Use official Malaysian registers and keep a dated record of what you checked. A provider submission, paid placement or profile claim is not the same as independent verification.
